The perils of having a teenagers! I would Have to put drivivng at the top of my list. Collin got his learner permit to drive this week. I must say it is scary giving the keys over to your teenager to drive a massive, larger than life machine that could kill maim or cause destructive damage. Did I mention I get butterflies every time I get in the car with him. I am gripping the dummy bar as hard as I can while praying as he tires to back out of the drive way and we are not even on the road yet! Actually he is learning quite well. Every time he drives he gets a little better. It is just me the mom, but just to let you know my son is driving. Do you know where I can buy a tank?

Collin's 16th Birthday May 15
I am a little late in posting these but better late than never. I can not believe Collin is 16. My time goes to quickly. He was so excited to open his main gift his very own cell phone! It was not his own car, but little cousin katie walton took care of that and gave collin a couple of her brother matthew's Hot Wheel Cars (I do not think Matthew new he even gave them to collin.) Collin had a great laugh at Katie's "generosity" Oh and Matthew's too. Collin also got a great laugh for Aunt Chelsea Grange. She had to wrap her gift for Collin in the infamous "CORN DOG BOX"
Collin is looking into the bag and realizing this was his cell phone. He rarley smiles for the camera. I was excited to capture this moment on film.

"Toads" with Mark's Family June 9, 2011
Meg is having fun watching the others take their turn on the go carts. We had a fun day with Scott's Family, Dale's Family, Grandpa and Grandma Grange playing Miniature Golf, Go cats and the Arcade. Sheri and Amber Gibby in the blue car. Scott and Alex Gibby in the Green car.
Sariah had a fun time driving the Go cart all by her self. She was a slow but steady driver. She never turned her self backward and had to raise her hand for help. I was impressed at how well she did.
Parker and collin had a race going on! They crashed a few times with uncle Dale. Loving every minute of it.
Meg and Beckee Gibby in the blue car. Dale and Megan Gibby in the red car. They drove a little different than the real deal you had to be careful not to turn to sharp or you would end up backwards.

Gibby Family Camp out June 2011 It is a very rare opportinity to have all of marks family together. We were excited to learn all of them could make it for the yearly family camp out. We went to Big Springs camp ground near Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. Picture of Mark and all five of his Siblings with mom and dad ( bottom) from left to right Bryan, Mark, Dale, Darren, Kristen, Scott. Oddly enough they put themselves in birth order.

It was so cold up there. At first it was sunny and nice. That lasted about an hour before the rain clouds became our contast companion. We began to paint our family shirts as the wind started blowing. It was almost imposible to paint in the wind.

Sariah found snow with molly, that was how cold it was the snow had not melted yet!
It was intersing trying to cook in the wind. The camp chef's kept going out. Dinner was mmm yummy if i do say so. (I cooked B.Q mixed meat, and cheesy hashbrowns) Some hid out in Bryan hauling trailer tell the wind and rain was barable.
The kids hid out in a trailer, scott brought, watching movies to stay warm.
We had one hour of luck without wind or poring rain. We were finally able to light a fire at the fire pit. We played minute to win it games. Like the Cookie game her. Parker is trying to inch his cookie across his face without using his hands to get into his mouth.
Here is Meg trying to get her cookie into her mouth.
We also sang songs and did skits. Our good weather did not last. Soon we were all hundled under the pavillion or in tralers again.
We ended up packing up the next day! It was to cold and rainy. Our two day camp became one day. We all went back to home my place for a warm sunny dinner.

Meg had to get modern day stiches< glued> on her forhead last week. Appartently she some how fell off the slide at school. We have not quite figured out the whole story. It happeded twenty minutes before school got out. That is two emergency/doctor visits in a month. Last month collin was messing around at Young Men's, Mutual, and fell on his ankle twisting it. We thought he broke it. We rushed him to the E.R. at 9:30 at night. It was a really bad sprain he had to wear a boot for a month. Medical bills fun! At least both injuries were not worse than they could have been.

Our New Project! This is my birthday present Mark gave me this January. He gutted the up stairs bathroom down to the stubs. Bath tub, sink everything is gone. The tub tile leaked into the laundry room. Also every time the kids took a shower it leaked downstairs into the hall/ We banned all kid from taking a bath or shower up stairs. We thought they were some how leaving the shower curtain open or getting/dumping water down the heater vent which was located right next to the bathtub on the left side. I hated that heater vent do you know how hard it is to bathe kids with a heater vent in the way. Mark fixed the heater vent so it is off the floor for me yeah! Come to find out when mark redid the plumbing he found the drain stack plug was leaking . It was not the kids after all. He had to call in the pro's for this one. The plumber had it fixed in five minutes flat with a plumbers trick for older houses. Mark thought I am way over my head I can not replace the drain stack. The plumber did it easy peasy thank goodness we had the right idea to call plumber. No bath tub! Mark has put in a new Jet tub so he can soak those knees.
We also decided to replace the old hand crank window in the bathroom with a new one. Mark is getting ready to put the new window in. It will take us at least year and a half to finish the bathroom. It will be nice when it is done and no more leaks we hope!
Mark took the girls out to the new Brigham Temple sight and took some pictures with them for fun. I am a visual peson I just like looking at the pics. My cute my girls. Oh ands I think their dad is cute too! Meg had the camera this time. I like this one she took of Sariah and Mark walking kinda cute!
This one she took of herself up side down Silly meg!
Collin went to the district Eagle court of Honor Dinner this week for the boys who earned their Eagle in 2010. The Brigham city Mayor, Mayor Fife spoke to the boys.
Collin receiving a congratulations from a Utah state Representative. It was a nice time spent with Collin and talking about his eagle project. Collin is growing up so fast I can't believe he will be 16 in a a little over a month. He is not interested in driving yet thank goodness! He may take drivers ed this summer. We are trying to convince him so he can take as slow as he wants earning his learners permit hours. He has part of his mom's personality. It is either right or wrong no gray for this kid. He is a good example to his younger siblings. He is very shy around girls like his dad was at this age. No worries about dating with this one. We are trying to prep him a year in advance to ask a girl to go to prom next year. We are proud of Collin. He is a great kid we are lucky to have him in our family.
It is time to do a quick catch up again. Meg had a great 6th birthday Jan 30th. She loves her Pillow pet lady bug daddy got her.(Darn blog made the picture crooked) Meg's messy artsist pallet cake, below. Meg is growing tall like her daddy. She loves to color cut, glue and staple. She is a smart girl who does well in her reading at school. She is a lot like her mother. My mom always said some day you will have one like you! Oh to true! I just shake my head and pick my battles with this one. We sure love her tons!

Sad Meg came home from school today without her glassess. I asked her where her glasses were. As quiet as she could she said, "I took them off and lost them at break." I asked her why she took them off. With a sad, sad face she quietly said the new girl in my class was playing with my best friend Gracen and said I could not play with them because I had glassess. So I took them off and put them in my pocket, and they fell out in the playground. When I went to get them they were gone. But she still would not play with me Mommy.
She was heart broken! We went back to the school to look for the glasses and talk to her teacher. Thanks goodness her teacher was still there. We had a good talk. It concerned her as it did me because this is a class that is full of kids with different disabilities. She will have a talk with the little girl about being kind to others and the class about why glasses are cool and important. Poor Meg to have to learn at an early age how mean kids can be. We are hoping her glasses will be in the lost and found tomorrow.
Meg's 6th Birthday was Jan 30th. She has a messy artist pallet cake. Meg loves to color cut and paint.

We had a nice 2010 Christmas here are a few of the high lights. Mark is pretending to be santa. Parker was really excited to get Lego Harry potter game for the Wii.
Mark loves his Gps tracker. He has had a lot of fun using it. Now we can find restaurants in cities we do not know.
Meg loves to draw cut, glue, create, and color. She asked santa for her own set of cool scissors.
Sariah wanted a new Webkins from santa to add to her other friends on the webkins web site. Sariah loves to earn the privilege to go online and play on the webkins web sight.
There is Family a story behind the Hot Dog box. When Collin was younger I wrapped his gift in a Hot dog box like this one. Collin was so excited to get corn dogs. He was really bummed to learn it wasn't corn dogs. So every year or so I wrap a gift in a corn box as a joke. Collin just cracked up laughing. It was fun to reminisce of little Collin so upset it !
