Our New Project! This is my birthday present Mark gave me this January. He gutted the up stairs bathroom down to the stubs. Bath tub, sink everything is gone. The tub tile leaked into the laundry room. Also every time the kids took a shower it leaked downstairs into the hall/ We banned all kid from taking a bath or shower up stairs. We thought they were some how leaving the shower curtain open or getting/dumping water down the heater vent which was located right next to the bathtub on the left side. I hated that heater vent do you know how hard it is to bathe kids with a heater vent in the way. Mark fixed the heater vent so it is off the floor for me yeah! Come to find out when mark redid the plumbing he found the drain stack plug was leaking . It was not the kids after all. He had to call in the pro's for this one. The plumber had it fixed in five minutes flat with a plumbers trick for older houses. Mark thought I am way over my head I can not replace the drain stack. The plumber did it easy peasy thank goodness we had the right idea to call plumber. No bath tub! Mark has put in a new Jet tub so he can soak those knees.
We also decided to replace the old hand crank window in the bathroom with a new one. Mark is getting ready to put the new window in. It will take us at least year and a half to finish the bathroom. It will be nice when it is done and no more leaks we hope!
Mark took the girls out to the new Brigham Temple sight and took some pictures with them for fun. I am a visual peson I just like looking at the pics. My cute my girls. Oh ands I think their dad is cute too! Meg had the camera this time. I like this one she took of Sariah and Mark walking kinda cute!
This one she took of herself up side down Silly meg!
Collin went to the district Eagle court of Honor Dinner this week for the boys who earned their Eagle in 2010. The Brigham city Mayor, Mayor Fife spoke to the boys.
Collin receiving a congratulations from a Utah state Representative. It was a nice time spent with Collin and talking about his eagle project. Collin is growing up so fast I can't believe he will be 16 in a a little over a month. He is not interested in driving yet thank goodness! He may take drivers ed this summer. We are trying to convince him so he can take as slow as he wants earning his learners permit hours. He has part of his mom's personality. It is either right or wrong no gray for this kid. He is a good example to his younger siblings. He is very shy around girls like his dad was at this age. No worries about dating with this one. We are trying to prep him a year in advance to ask a girl to go to prom next year. We are proud of Collin. He is a great kid we are lucky to have him in our family.
It is time to do a quick catch up again. Meg had a great 6th birthday Jan 30th. She loves her Pillow pet lady bug daddy got her.(Darn blog made the picture crooked) Meg's messy artsist pallet cake, below. Meg is growing tall like her daddy. She loves to color cut, glue and staple. She is a smart girl who does well in her reading at school. She is a lot like her mother. My mom always said some day you will have one like you! Oh to true! I just shake my head and pick my battles with this one. We sure love her tons!

Sad Meg came home from school today without her glassess. I asked her where her glasses were. As quiet as she could she said, "I took them off and lost them at break." I asked her why she took them off. With a sad, sad face she quietly said the new girl in my class was playing with my best friend Gracen and said I could not play with them because I had glassess. So I took them off and put them in my pocket, and they fell out in the playground. When I went to get them they were gone. But she still would not play with me Mommy.
She was heart broken! We went back to the school to look for the glasses and talk to her teacher. Thanks goodness her teacher was still there. We had a good talk. It concerned her as it did me because this is a class that is full of kids with different disabilities. She will have a talk with the little girl about being kind to others and the class about why glasses are cool and important. Poor Meg to have to learn at an early age how mean kids can be. We are hoping her glasses will be in the lost and found tomorrow.
Meg's 6th Birthday was Jan 30th. She has a messy artist pallet cake. Meg loves to color cut and paint.

Mark loves his Gps tracker. He has had a lot of fun using it. Now we can find restaurants in cities we do not know.
Meg loves to draw cut, glue, create, and color. She asked santa for her own set of cool scissors.
Sariah wanted a new Webkins from santa to add to her other friends on the webkins web site. Sariah loves to earn the privilege to go online and play on the webkins web sight.
There is Family a story behind the Hot Dog box. When Collin was younger I wrapped his gift in a Hot dog box like this one. Collin was so excited to get corn dogs. He was really bummed to learn it wasn't corn dogs. So every year or so I wrap a gift in a corn box as a joke. Collin just cracked up laughing. It was fun to reminisce of little Collin so upset it !

*Peach Days Parade 2010*Collin marching in the marching band. Meg and the Jr. peach queen with her bigger crown in the parade. Apparently she was not sick and got to were the bigger crown.
We are glad Meg got the chance to participate in the peach days pageants. She was happy with glee and had the time of her life. (If only she had that bigger crown.)
Meg had to go tot the Peach Queen Pageant the next night. She fell asleep half way through on mark's arm. Before the program started we were waiting in the hall before we could get into our seats with the Jr. peach Queen and the other attendants. Meg asked why does the Jr.peach queen have a bigger crown then her. I told it was because she is the queen. I began to tell meg the duties she will have as the first attendant, if for any reason like sickness meg will step in and take her place as the queen. Meg then looked up at the bigger crown on the Jr. queens head turned to her the Jr. peach Queen and said are you sick yet. All of us parents had a great laugh.
Meg is so blury up on the stage in the program, becasue she was so excited she could not hold still. She was bouncing all around like a bouncing baboon.
Meg is reading a book during the peach queen pageant .
Meg with her cousins Brooke Grange and Desiree Gibby who all were in the Jr. Peach Queen Pageant together.

Collin and Mark went horse back riding this August 2010 with their Boy scout Troop.
Mark and Collin with the horses they rode. A few of the kids were thrown off their horses a few times, no injuries but a few bruises. Mark and Collin got the gentle horses and didn't have any trouble with their horse being spooked and were not thrown off.
Collin had a great time riding horses. He said this was the best fed scout camp he has ever been to. They were never hungry and had so much left overs the cowboys burned tons of left over food. The cowboys didn't want to haul anything back down the mountain. They even burned the ice chests and extra blankets. We guess the horses were to tired from hauling boys and men all Summer long up and down the mountain.
Mark said this was fun for the boys learning to ride a horse, BUT the worse run camp he has been to. At times the boys were very bored: no activities planned for the boys . Breakfast was on cowboy time well after 10:00 o'clock, lunch was served so late the boys were not hungry for dinner when it was served. The cowboys complained a lot about having to work with boy scouts and their language was a bit to colorful. Mark will never go back to that camp again as long as he is young men's president.

I thought I learned along time ago to be careful what I pray for. I was worried I would not know what to do with myself since the kids would all be in school this fall. I started to ask the lord in my prayers to help me find something productive to do with my time. I thought about many things ,then the job to teach preschool opened up. I thought this was my answer. No ! I guess the lord thought well she needs more. I have been called to serve as the 2nd counselor in the primary. It looks like I might be keeping the stake sports director calling as well! I am going to be one busy chic ! I am glad I will have time while the kids are in school to get my preschool and sharing time lessons planned. Hobbie HO here we go!
